Zoness
Updated - Auguest 04, 2011

Zoness is a planet in the Lylat System. It is almost entirely covered by water, but it has several small islands. Before the Lylat Wars, it was a beautiful vacation spot, but Andross had polluted it with toxic dumping in the oceans that turned the water green, and mutated the wild life. He had also built several supply depots and refinery stations on it.

General Information
Origin: Star Fox 64 Location: Lylat System
Release Date: April 27, 1997 Home Stage of: N/A
Layout
The Layout of the stage is a long flat platform almost as big as Final Destination sticking out above the water. On the sides are two cranes that occasionally rise out of the water and drop metal crates on the sides of the platform. The crates can either drop items, or explode. The background has two searchlights. If they turn red and a siren is heard, it means that either the Sarumarine, the eel, or a swarm of enemies is coming.
Hazards
Hazard #1: Enemies Kanis will swim under the stage. Small boat fighters will also quickly drive underneath, and shoot lasers at the players. The lasers are weak and only do 2-4% damage. Z-Gulls will also fly over the stage, but will do nothing else. Swarms of all these enemies can appear, but the searchlights in the background will turn red and a siren will go off a few seconds before the swarm arrives.
Hazard #2: Exploding Barrels Occasionally, Exploding Barrels will drift underneath the platform. They will explode at a random point durring the time they drift. The explosion is in the shape of a thin column, and will extend a little more then half way to the top of the stage. Some may not explode at all. Damaging them in any way will force them to explode.
Hazard #3: Eel Rarely, the giant eel will jump passed the stage several times. This can do a lot of damage and can be hard to dodge. Players are warned by the searchlights becoming red, and the siren being heard.
Hazard #4: Sarumarine On rare occasions, the Sarumarine will emerge from the water. Just the periscope will be visible at first, but the whole thing will come out of the water shortly after. A large, blue crosshair will appear on the screen and move around before locking on one location, usually where the most players, or if it is only a two person match, the current leader in the match. After it is locked, the crosshair turns red, and a few seconds later, the Sarumarine will launch it's spiked ball and chain. After it is launched, it will be retracted by the Sarumarine, and then it will dive back under the water. This will have the red lights and sirens before it appears.
