Twilight House is a battle course coming from Mario Kart DS. The house seems located in the middle of a forest, floating on a dark void though. The course has eight wide rooms surrounded by a narrow balcony. Players can fall to the void if they run along the balcony, especially on the 90 degrees turns. Some Dark Shine Sprites can be seen over the walls of Twilight House. Its name could have been inspired by Twilight Town from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The course appears as a Retro Battle Course in Mario Kart Wii as well.

Layout
You fight on the tops of the walls and the roofs of the little houses. To the right, there are two large houses that act as very slanted ground, so watch out with using projectile attacks around here. Each of these houses is about as long as Giga Bowser and about as large too. Then, to the left, there is a small area of flat ground and then a light. There is a gap right after this light, and the gap is about as large as three Bowsers. Then, there is another stretch of flat land that is about four times as large as the previous platform with the light. This platform also has a light at the very end of its left side. Also, both sides of the stage have a small little area of flat ground that you can use to hide for a short time.

Hazards
Hazard #1:
Kart Racers |
Sometime, Dry Bones in Karts will drive by in the areas that are on the regular ground. These are sort of like the cars from the Onett stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but they actually have to hit you physically this time. Some may fire Green Shells at the corridors rather than drive through them. Also, if you have excellent timing, you can bounce off of the balloons that are atop their Karts.

Hazard #2:
Hot Feet |
Hot Feet can hop out of the lamp from time to time. They look like flames with little feet, and they act just like Boos. Look at one, and it’ll stop. Turn your back to it, and it’ll walk to you at Mario’s walking speed. They deal 4% damage on touch, so don’t touch it. They burn out after five seconds.
