Spectacle Rock is a recurring location in the Legend of Zelda series. This strange rock formation is easily distinguishable due to its shape, which resembles that of a pair of spectacles. Spectacle Rock serves many different purposes in the various games it appears in.

Layout
|
The stage consists of one small patch of plain, flat ground about the length of four laying down King Dededes. However, on both sides of the land, are two large, double Giga Bowser-sized cones of cracked and ruined rock. An 8-bit Ganon appears in the background, chuckling to himself as his trident glows a cosmic color as the stage floats in the air. The rocks can be climbed on. On the rock on the left, there is a door shaped hole that various monsters that Ganon commands walk out of. Otherwise, not much is on the stage.

Hazards

Hazard #1:
|
Ganon's Minions |
Many of Ganon’s minions will appear out of the hole in the rock. They always give a little peek out of the hole before performing their attack. There are Blade Traps, which dart out of the hole and charge all the way to the other rock before slowly moving back to the hole. Like Likes don’t do much, the simply ooze around the stage, not doing much. However, if they eat you, they’ll disable any special effects that you have on you. Lanmolas simply fly around the stage slowly, not aiming at anyone in particular. Their different segments spin around as they fly about. Vires don’t really attack people; they just hop around, and walk about. Just don’t touch them. Keese, when they appear, simply fly around in spiral patterns. They don’t really aim at anyone specifically, though. Bubbles will bounce around the borders. Blue ones will disable your specials, and red ones just do damage. Wizzrobes simply teleport around the stage firing fireballs at the players, making them the most aggressive of Ganon’s minions, yet not the most dangerous. Still, try to knock them out of they appear. Patra is the most dangerous, and only appears once a match. Patra will fly around the stage, with its offspring spinning around it. If you touch Patra’s offspring, it’ll do slight damage, but nothing too terrible. A single hit will defeat anyone of Patra’s offspring. Zols are very weak, and when they appear, all they do is wobble around, back and forth. And finally, Gels appear. Gels are the weakest monsters, and are also very tiny, so you may accidently squish them.

Hazard #2:
|
Ganon |
8-bit Ganon also likes to screw with you throughout match, as if his minions weren’t enough. Luckily, all Ganon does is teleport around the background and spin his trident, which fires a small fireball. The fireballs aren’t particularly damaging, though.
