Luigi’s Mansion
Updated - October 10, 2009

Luigi's Mansion is a huge mansion that Luigi first encounters in the Nintendo GameCube game of the same name. Luigi wins the mansion in a contest that he hadn't even entered and asks his brother to meet him there to celebrate. When he gets there, Luigi finds that the mansion is haunted and that Mario has been kidnapped. Luigi later meets Professor E. Gadd, who gives him the Poltergust 3000, which allows him to suck up Boos, Portrait Ghosts, Mouse Ghosts and other ghosts.

Layout
The stage is pretty much exactly the Brawl version, except much larger, as is fitting for a mansion. The balcony at the top is still present, except resized, along with the rest of the stage. This platform is a fall-through platform. Inside the mansion, about four Bowsers down from that platform is another floor, with a fall-through area in the middle, and two solid areas where the support pillars are. And on the ground floor, the two small platforms are still present as well in the stage. The floating platforms that appear from time to time still appear in the stage as well. However, some new hazards have been added to the stage this time around.
Hazards
Hazard #1: Ghosts The Gold Ghosts from the Luigi's Mansion game appear on stage from time to time to harass players. Most of the time, they just wander around aimlessly in hopes of grabbing onto players to slow them down. If a player is holding an item, and a Gold Ghost grabs them, the ghost will steal the item and sink into the ground with it. Sometimes, the ghost will use the item, but not too often. A similar thing occurs when they touch an item that is just sitting around, as well. When the pillars on the stage are smashed, three Gold Ghosts appear, angry about the damage to their mansion. They don't act any different, however.
Hazard #2: Pillars The support pillars on the stage can be smashed to remove parts of the balcony and first floor from the stage. Smashing these also releases a few Gold Ghosts, so be careful. The mansion regenerates after a minute if all of the whole mansion becomes destroyed.
