Chai Kingdom

The Chai Kingdom is a part of Sarasaland, and the original home of Princess Daisy. It has Oriental-style architecture and background music. Unlike the previous kingdoms, no enemies in the kingdom relate to the boss. The last level has Mario flying in his Sky Pop shooting down targets and the boss, Tatanga. Biokinton, the mysterious cloud creature, guards this area. Afterwards, Tatanga would appear in the Chai Kingdom, trying to finish off Mario once and for all. Enemies found here include Pakkun Flowers, Pionpis, Giras, Chibibos, Nyololins, Pompon Flowers, Chikakos, Chickens, and Roketons.

Layout
The stage is a fairly small one, with not much in the way of height. To the left, the main fighting area floats on the water. It’s made of an indestructible kind of the regular Super Mario brick blocks. This brick block platform is about 1 ½ the size of the main platform of Dream Land. Also, the left on this platform is a pipe with a Pakkun Flower in it. It acts just like a Piranha Plant, but doesn’t do as much damage, dealing only about 3% damage. It can be defeated with a single strike in most situations. The pipe is quite a bit taller than the regular platform, and it acts as a bit of wall. To right of this fighting area is a small fall-through platform that seems to be made of orange beads. It’s about as long as one of the breakable platforms that appear on the sides of the Skyworld stage from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Clouds in the sky that drift by act as platforms for anyone who can get up to use them. Just watch for the clouds, and don’t step on it if it has eyes. The background of the stage shows many tall, mist-enshrouded mountains, with Japanese temples at their peaks. Also, the top of the stage has an intricate spiral design, which just is there as decoration.

Hazards
Hazard #1:
Pakkun Flowers |
The pipe on the main platform houses a Pakkun Flower. Pakkun Flowers are quite similar to Piranha Plants except that they don’t have sharp teeth or polka-dots. They pop in and out of the pipe, and a single bite from one deals 3% damage. However, it only takes a single hit from an attack to temporarily defeat the Pakkun Flower.

Hazard #2:
Pionpis |
Pionpis hold many visual similarities with a mythical vampire creature named Jiang-Shi. These little creatures won’t be sucking any blood; all they want is to stop on the heads of anyone they can get to. They ride on the clouds and always jump down on the extra platform that is on the right of the stage. They use their incredible jumping talents to jump onto the main platform, and then attempt to crush players. If you attack one, it’ll look like it died, but it’ll quickly come back quicker. If you knock it into the water, you’ll be able to defeat it. Getting jumped on deals 4% damage.

Hazard #3:
Biokinton |
The cloud platforms may be a vantage point, but caution should be used around them, as the clouds with eyes are really Biokinton in disguise! If you step on it, it’ll get angry and shoot chickens at you. These chickens come out of the top and bottom of the cloud creature, and they move pretty fast. They’ll deal 7% damage should they come into contact with you.
