Hyrule Castle
Updated - April 12, 2009

Hyrule Castle is the center of all of Hyrule. The home of Princess Zelda and her court, it is obviously a place that some evildoer might want to attack and take siege of. That is exactly what Zant did under the order of Ganondorf, King of Evil during the events of Twilight Princess. The Hyrule Castle in this rendition of Smash switches in between day, night, and Twilight, with different events occurring for each.

    Works:
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Super Nintendo)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube / Nintendo Wii)
General Information
Origin: The Legend of Zelda Location: Hyrule
Release Date: February 21, 1986 Home Stage of: N/A
Layout
The fighting takes place on one of the long walkways atop the walls of the castle, formally used for archers. There are two towers on either side of the stage and one large, gold platform that moves between each. The towers can, of course, also be used at platforms... at least for the most part.
Hazards
Hazard #1: Rain Appearing during the night is the occasional rain storm. Rain doesn't inflict any damage, but it does make the towers awfully slippery to walk on.
Hazard #2: Twister During the day, a small twister reminiscent to the one in the original Smash's rendition of Hyrule Castle may appear in the center of the stage. If someone walks into the twister, it will shoot them extremely high into the air, just a tiny bit off from dealing a Team Rocket KO.
Hazard #3: Twilit Keese Twilit Keese appear during Twilight time, flinging themselves into other fighters and dealing a minor 8% damage per hit. They must be dealt only 1% damage to be killed.
Hazard #4: Twilit Kargarok Twilit Kargarok may also appear during Twilight time, dealing damage in the same manner as the Twilit Keese, but dealing double the damage. They must be dealt 30% damage to be killed.
