Wario's Battle Canyon
Updated - September 15, 2009

Wario’s Battle Canyon was one of the boards that Mario and the gang were able to visit in the Mario Party series. This was Wario’s home board. The goal of the gang was to collect the power stars and use their power to stop the ongoing war between the Bob-Ombs and Bob-Omb Buddies. When the game was over, the winning player’s stars combined into a giant star, going over to a cannon which fired itself; shooting fireworks out of the top. The player then would see the Bob-Ombs and Bob-Omb Buddies and their flag of peace.

    Works:
Mario Party (Nintendo 64)
General Information
Origin: Mario Party Location: Mushroom Kingdom
Release Date: February 8, 1999 Home Stage of: Wario
Layout
The stage features a massive platform in the centre, with miniature platforms in the top corners of the stage. None of these platforms are crouch-through. The background is a canyon, with a desert on top. A Yoshi Sphinx can be seen in the background, referring to the track from Mario Kart: Super Circuit. The Bob-Ombs and Bob-Omb buddies appear in the background, loading and firing their cannons at each other and the main stage. On the main stage, just behind the fighters, is one more cannon inhabited by either specie. Occasionally, Bowser’s Clown Copter breaks through the back canyon wall, and the Koopaling Cannon appears from behind. (See hazards.)
Hazards
Hazard #1: Bob-Omb Cannons Frequently during battles, the cannons manned by Bob-Ombs and Bob-Omb Buddies will fire into the foreground, which, if the cannon ammunition hits a player, knocks the player towards the sky, dealing heavy damage. Sometimes, the Bob-Ombs/Bob-Omb Buddies fire each other into the foreground.
Hazard #2: Fly Guy Occasionally, Fly Guy flies across the screen. While this happens, any character that gets caught in Fly Guy’s propeller is dealt small damage and knockback. Fly Guy normally is a heads up to the players that the Koopalings are soon breaking through.
Hazard #3: Koopaling Cannon A tip of the hat to the, Mario Party 1 board, Eternal Star, as well as Super Mario World. Occasionally, a cannon will break out of the back wall of the canyon. This cannon will be manned by the Koopalings, Bowser’s children from Super Mario World/Super Mario Bros. 3. The Koopalings fire magically enhanced cannonballs which may freeze, electrocute, or burn the player they hit. The Koopalings also fire heat-seeking Bullet Bills.
Hazard #4: Fire Chomp Occasionally, the fire chomps from Super Mario Bros. 3 will hop across the stage, burning any player they come in contact with. If the fire chomps jump into the part of the stage they can fall off of, they do not respawn until another fire chomp takes its place. Up to two fire chomps can appear on stage, and if hit by a water-based attack, they die.
