Pufftop is a kingdom in the sky in which Starfy, Starly, and Moe reside. It is magically floating over the ocean, and is lead by Starfy and Starly's parents the king (Papa Star) and queen (Mama Star).
In The Legendary Starfy, players can discover Pufftop guard clothing for Starfy and Starly that will appear on the Nintendo DS's top screen when pausing on a level. If you have both pieces of clothing, you will unlock a special in which Starfy or Starly will run around a small Pufftop replica while in their guard suit. Many of Starfy's grand adventures begin here.

The Pufftop Palace stage takes place on a floating, cloudy island hovering over the ocean. The main platform is roughly the size of Final Destination's main platform as seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The ocean can be swam in and there's no current that will wash players away. The palace itself appears in the near background as well as a single, thin cloud platform in the center. Two more thin cloud platforms appear below the stage, slightly moving left to right under the edges of the main platform with a main purpose of assisting players from the ocean back to the main platform.

Pufftop Guards |
These guards will occassionally appear from the palace gates and patrol the main platform. If attacked first and not defeated, they'll attempt to counterattack for 2%-5% damage each hit. They only have around 10HP-15HP however.
