Cyndaquil is one of three available starter Pokemon alongside Chikorita and Totodile that are given away by Professor Elm in the Johto Region. Cyndaquil are a timid Pokemon and tend to hide in dangerous situations, unaware yet of their strengths. They use smoke and the fire that spurts from their back to protect themselves and when angry the fire on it's back grows higher and more powerful.

Attack Description
Cyndaquil will raise up on its hindlegs before spewing out a fire that encircles its body and spinning like a wheel forwards until it either runs off the stage or runs into a crate/barrel or a wall. If it runs into a crate/barrel or a wall then the Cyndaquil's fire will dissipate and the Cyndaquil will disappear. If an opponent runs into Cyndaquil while it is rolling they will be trapped in its fire and suffer 2%-5% damage for every second they are in the fire until Cyndaquil either rolls off the stage or disappears. Cyndaquil spins at a pace similar to that of the Pokeball Pokemon Piplup in Super Smash Bros Brawl.
