Tents are a recurring item in the Final Fantasy series that when used on the World Map or at a Save Point will either fully heal or heal some of the entire Party's HP & MP. Whether or not the Tent heals all or some of the Party's HP & MP depends on whether the Cottage item is also in that particular game and if such is the case the Tent only heals some HP & MP. The Tent item has seemingly been retired since Final Fantasy X where the World Map was for all intents and purposes gotten rid of and the fact that Save Points will now fully heal you of HP & MP.
Works:
Final Fantasy V (Super Nintendo)
Final Fantasy VII (PlayStation)
Final Fantasy IX (PlayStation)

How It's Used
|
The Tent will appear on the stage as a bundle of tarp with poles lying on top of it. When the player picks it up it will be held in both of their arms and they will not be able to attack and wheneer they next press the Standard Attack Button they will set the Tent down and it will be built instantly looking how Tents looked in the original Final Fantasy. The player will then enter inside the Tent and will sleep for a maximum of 5 seconds. Each of these seconds the player will be healed of 1%-5% damage and the player can leave the Tent at any time before the 5 seconds are up by pressing the Standard Attack Button. The Tent can also be burned down if hit by a fire attack causing the Player to instantly leave the Tent but they won't suffer the fire damage. If the Tent is hit by a fire attack, then after the player leaves it it will burn down but if the player left it without the Tent being hit by fire it will just disappear.
