Magic Yarn
Updated - August 20, 2011

A mystical magical yarn comprised of eight strands. The Magic Yarn is what keeps the world of Patch Land held together and without it, everything would unravel. Yin-Yarn, the main villain of Kirby's Epic Yarn, stole the eight strands of the Magic Yarn and divided them amongst seven of his guardians and keeping one to himself. Whenever Kirby and his new ally Prince Fluff defeated one of the guardians the strand of the Magic Yarn would stitch back together two of the pieces of Patch Land and make them whole until they were able to defeat Yin-Yarn himself, obtain the final piece of the Magic Yarn and restore Patch Land to its former glory.

General Information
Name: Magic Yarn Origin: Kirby's Epic Yarn
Item Type: Miscellaneous Release Date: October 14, 2010
How It's Used
When picked up the Magic Yarn appears at the player's side coiled up like a lasso. When used the Magic Yarn can grapple onto an opponent from a distance equivalent to approximately 2 Ganondorfs. The Magic Yarn can also be used to grapple onto ledges much like Ivysaur's Vine Whip. To use the Magic Yarn what you must do is hit the Grab button while at the same time angling on the control in the direction that you want to swing out the Magic Yarn. So if you angle the control stick to the right the Magic Yarn will fling out to the right, angle it up and to the right and it will go there. If the player only presses the Grab button and does not angle the control stick then the Magic Yarn will NOT be used. The Magic Yarn does not deal any damage but when it has grappled onto an opponent you can press the control stick back in the direction of the player as opposed to the character that is grappled and they will be pulled to you. After being used 10 times the Magic Yarn will disappear in a small puff of smoke. Having the Magic Yarn equipped does not interfere with equipping any other item.
