The Team Healer is an item original to the Super Smash Bros series first featured in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Unlike other throwing items, throwing a Team Healer at someone else will heal them, even if it's your opponent that you hit! It won't work if you throw it upwards and make it land on you though.

How It's Used
|
Basically, all you have to do is throw it at a friend (or enemy) and it will heal about 30% damage. It sounds simple enough, but it won't work on you, so you should either throw it at an ally, or just not pick it up at all. A good tactic is to just jump in front of an opponent with the Team Healer when they throw it, because they'll accidentally heal you!
