The Party Ball is an item original to the Super Smash Bros series. It originally appeared in Super Smash Bros Melee, and returned again in Super Smash Bros Brawl. It is similar to the Crates and Barrels also in the Super Smash Bros series, but when thrown or attacked, it flys a few feet into the air, then drops random items.

    Works:
Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo Wii)

How It's Used
The Party Ball can be picked up and thrown, or simply attacked. If it hits an opponent, he/she will be dealt about 15% damage to whoever it hits. Whether it's hit, is thrown and hits somebody, or if it is thrown and hits the ground, it floats about the height of 3 Bowsers into the air. A few seconds later, it starts to flash red and a sound effect is heard. After it stops flashing and the sound effect stops, the Party Ball opens and random items come out of it. However, it may also contain random enemies that will start to try and attack anyone near it. It can also just explode, dealing 10% damage to anyone nearby.
