Blast Box
Updated - June 7, 2010

The Blast Box is an item original to the Super Smash Bros series that originally appeared on Super Smash Bros Brawl. It might look like a regular crate, but it's really an explosive box that can KO someone if they're not careful. Although it takes awhile to detonate with just physical attacks, a well placed fire-based attack can make the Blast Box blow with just one shot.

How It's Used
When thrown, the Blast Box usually just lands about the length of 1 Bowser in front of whoever threw it, dealing about 10% damage and medium knockback to anyone it hits, and it doesn't blow up. Just punching/kicking the box will make it explode after about 5-10 hits depending on the offensive power of the character attacking it. However, fire-based attacks work really well when attempting to blow the Blast Box up, as long as you're far away from it when it blows! Simply use a fire attack, and, if it hits the Blast Box, it will blow up. Anyone caught in the explosion radius will be dealt about 20% damage and high knockback.
