Tanooki Statue

The Tanooki Statue is originally part of the Tanooki Suit power up that Mario and Luigi would gain in Super Mario Bros. 3 and its remakes. When wearing the rare Tanooki Suit, the player would press Down + B to trigger an ability that left the character invulnerable for a short period of time. When used in the air, the brother that used it would slam down to the ground like a Thwomp.

In Super Smash Bros, the Tanooki Statue is a heavy item, similar to the Barrel or the Crate. When picked up, the player hoists the statue on his/her back, and slowly walks around. When thrown, the Tanooki Statue deals heavy damage (10%-20%) and very high knockback.
