The Propeller Mushroom is a new item to the series introduced by New Super Mario Bros. Wii. As the name implies, the item is used to let the player float through the air, spinning like a propeller until gently floating to the ground. If no one reaches the item soon enough, the Propeller Mushroom will float out of the stage.

How It's Used
|
When a Propeller Mushroom appears, its propeller will spin causing it to float through the air similar to the Smash Ball but much slower and more predictably. When picking it up by touching it, the player will become equipped with a Propeller Suit, causing their second jump to become extraordinarily better in recovery and allowing them to 'glide' back to safe ground. The mushroom's effects will last for 45 seconds and cannot be unequipped except by being K.O.'d.
