The Home-run Bat is used in all three Super Smash Bros. games and is almost always an instant KO when smashed. The Home-run Bat is an item used in the Home-run Contest to knock the Sandbag as far as possible. It originates from the Smash Bros. series according to the trophy description, though many believe it should hail from the EarthBound series.

If the user connects a smash attack using a Home-Run Bat, it's almost a guarantee K.O. on the opponent. The Home-Run Bat has a 20% chance of splitting in half and breaking, resulting in a useless weapon.
