Boo
Updated - September 12, 2010

One of the more common Mario enemies, the Boo (originally known as Boo Diddley) appears in pretty much any place that is haunted or creepy. Their shy natures tend to impede their performance when fighting against Mario as whenever he faces in their general direction they hide away their face hoping that he won't see them that way.

    Works:
Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)
Paper Mario (Nintendo 64)
Luigi's Mansion (Nintendo GameCube)

General Information
Health: 4HP (Easy)
5HP (Medium)
6HP (Hard)
7HP (Very Hard)
10HP (Intense)
Mode of Travel: Boos float through the air at a medium pace towards the player character, homing in on them, unless however the player character is facing towards them in which case they will not move forward and will hide their faces. When the player character faces the Boo after it has already started moving towards them it will take a second to stop its movement before covering its face. If its within reach of the opponent when they turn to face it, it will go ahead and attack anyways. Also, when the Boo is covering its face it will turn translucent and will be invulnerable to attacks.
Origin: Super Mario Bros. 3 Date of Origin: October 23, 1988
Attack Method
When the Boo gets up to the player they will slap them with one of their hands dealing 2%-4% and will knock back the player character slightly. They can also lick the player character with their tongue dealing 1%-3% and will briefly stun the player character.
