Dry Bones
Updated - May 30, 2010

Dry Bones (also known as Skeleton Koopas) are skeletal versions of Koopa Troopas. These undead Koopas will often collapse when attacked, but they will soon revive themselves and become completely normal once again. Dry Bones first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3, in which they were a simple edit of a Koopa. They have since become a very popular character among fans and a staple in Mario Spin-off games. Dry Bones is ordinarily a lightweight character in games and is often accompanied by Boo; Dry Bones' emblem is a side-view of their head.

Super Mario World (Super Nintendo)
New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Nintendo Wii)

General Information
Health: HP Mode of Travel: Dry Bones will always travel forward at a walking pace until they reach a ledge, then they'll stop and switch directions. Dry Bones will pay no attention to players at all and focus completely on walking mindlessly. They are also completely immune to all projectile and indirect fire attacks, like Zelda's Din's Fire and Luigi's Fireball, however attacks like Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch will still affect it and other attacks like Samus's Missile attack will only cause knockback on it.
Origin: Super Mario Bros. 3 Date of Origin: April 11, 2010
Attack Method
If Dry Bones comes into direct contact with any players they'll take damage for between 3%-8% depending on the difficulty selected. On Very Hard and Intense difficulties, they'll hurl bones horizontally across the screen towards their foes. These bones can cause between 5%-8% damage as well as minor knockback. If Dry Bones is struck or jumped on they'll fall apart into a heap of bones and remain in this state for 15 seconds before reassembling themselves and continuing onward.
