Ike is the son of Greil, leader of the Greil Mercenaries, who takes over leadership after his father is killed by the Black Knight. For the majority of the game, he is in the service of Princess Elincia, his employer. Ike begins the game as a rather naive character. He had no memory or knowledge of his family's life in Gallia during his early years, and prior to the Greil Mercenaries' escape to Gallia, revealed that he didn't know what laguz are. He's a good-hearted individual, and also very protective of his friends and family. His primary personal motivation is to avenge his father after he is killed by the Black Knight, but he seeks no particular reward in aiding Crimea's liberation and restoring Elincia to the throne beyond the usual payment of services to the mercenary company. Although he has no desire to become nobility, he accepts the title of lord so that he can properly lead the Crimean liberation army following his triumph over Oliver. In the end, he defeats the Black Knight, slays King Ashnard and returns Elincia to the throne. After the war is ended and Crimea is repaired, Ike returns to his father’s fort and leads his mercenary band once more.

Attack Details

Standard Special:
Sol (?%) |
By rapidly tapping B, Ike will swing his sword up to five times. Each swing has a 30% chance of healing Ike for half of the damage caused. Has a ten second cooldown. |
Side Special:
Light of Ragnell (?%) |
Ike leaps into the air with his sword, Ragnell, and comes crashing down. As his blade touches the ground, beams of light shoot off of it, striking anyone in front of Ike. The beam will continue to “run” along the ground- even if it hits an opponent- until it hits a wall or falls off of the stage. Does medium damage. |
Up Special:
Aether (?%) |
Ike’s sword glows a bright blue as he leaps into the air and slices any opponent in his way several times. Each hit has a 10% chance to heal Ike for half of the damage caused. |
Down Special:
Vantage (?%) |
Just as the opponent is about to attack Ike, he swings his sword and strikes first. Much like Marth and Roy’s counters, but cannot be used to counter projectiles. |
Final Smash
Fire Emblem (?%) |
Ike gives a sigh and reluctantly pulls out the sacred Fire Emblem from a pouch strapped to his belt. He grips tight to the emblem, and a primal rage overtakes him. For the next twenty seconds, all of Ike’s attacks will do two to three times the normal damage, as well as have a 20% chance of instantly sending his target off the screen upon impact. At the end of the twenty seconds, however, Ike will take serious damage as well as be stunned for five seconds. |
