Pete, also called Jack by fans, is the protagonist of most of the Harvest Moon games. He was the first playable character in the series. He is a dedicated farmer, and in each game, eventually gets married and has a son with the woman of the player's choice. In Harvest Moon 64, he inherits his grandfather's farm, but his father thinks it's a waste of his time. In Harvest Moon; Friends of Mineral Town, it is stated that he is very quiet.

Attack Details
Standard Special:
Sickle (10%-15%) |
This is a slow attack where Pete takes out his sickle and swings it. He uses a heavier sickle, which deals more damage, but takes a decently long time to do. |
Side Special:
Dog (?%) |
Pete will summon his dog for help. He will whistle once and a dog will lunge from behind him. The dog will latch onto a person it hits and starts biting them. The person who is being bitten cannot attack. They can only walk/run, crouch, or jump, in an attempt to shake the dog off. Pressing A repeatedly can also help get the dog off faster. Pete can only have two dogs out at once, one with floppy, hanging ears, and one with pointy, upright ears. |
Up Special:
Chickens (5%-10%) |
Pete will hold his arms out and make the shape of a T with his bod. Four chickens, two on each side, will grab his sleeves with their talons. They will then carry him upwards. This is better for vertical recovery than horizontal. The chickens can cause several small hits with their wings. This can also keep characters trapped until the move ends. |
Down Special:
Harvest (?%) |
Pete will reach down and pull out one random food. These foods include: Strawberry: These are the most likely to appear. They fly the farthest and deal 3% damage when they hit someone. Carrot: These will appear slightly less often than Stawberrys, and will do 5% damage when thrown. They will not go as far as a strawberry. Tomato: These are the third most likely to appear. They fly the second farthest and deal 7% Damage when the hit someone. Turnip: These are rarer than tomatoes, and don't fly as far, but they deal 9% damage. Potato: These will rarely appear, and will do 12% damage when they hit someone, but they won't fly very far. |
Final Smash
Stampede (25%-40%) |
When this final smash is started, a ton of cows, bulls, sheep, and horses will charge from where Pete is standing. They will continue going strait, running over anyone in their way. Until they run right off the edge of the stage. |
