Animal Kirby

Animal Kirby is a copy ability introduced in Kirby: Squeak Squad. It is the only ability that allows Kirby to dig through dirt, sand, or snow. It can also cut ropes, chains, and tall grass. It is very powerful and allows Kirby to cling to walls, but it reduces his speed. It comes from inhaling a Gaw Gaw or the larger, blue mini-boss version, Gao Gao.

Animal Kirby slashes forward with a very basic slash. This attack is slow, short ranged but deals heavy damage. |

Animal Kirby lunges forward. If he hits someone, he will cling to them, and scratch them three times before jumping off. When Animal Kirby is clinging to someone, they are unable to move, attack, or shield. However, the attack can be cut short if someone else attacks Animal Kirby while he is preforming the attack. |

Drill Spin
(2%-9%) |
Animal Kirby spins around, forming a drill with his claws that propels him upwards. This will cause several small hits on any opponent hit. The direction can be changed by moving the control stick in the direction you want to go before the attack actually starts. Pressing the attack button during the attack will cancel it. |

Dig
(8%-12%) |
Animal Kirby digs under the ground, leaving nothing visible but a small mound of dirt. When the attack button is pressed again, he will spring back up, harming anyone above him. If this attack is used in the air, Animal Kirby will plunge downwards, digging underground immediately after he lands. |

Animal Kirby burrows underground, the screen shakes and anyone touching the ground will be buried (as if being hit by a pitfall in Brawl.) Animal Kirby will come back out of the ground, and large boulders will then fall from the top of the screen, doing heavy damage to anyone they hit. People buried are left open to being hit by either the boulders or Animal Kirby. People not buried can still be hurt, but have a chance to dodge. |
