Rundas
Updated - August 31, 2010

Rundas is native to Phyrigis, a moon of Bes III which is known mostly for ice mining. He currently works as a Bounty Hunter for the Galactic Federation. His power to control ice is a great asset to him in his work. He enjoys hunting, and keeps trophies of all of his targets that he’s captured or killed throughout his career. He’s extremely proud, cocky, and arrogant, and considers himself to be unmatched by anyone in his field.

Attack Details
Standard Special: Sub-Zero Blast
(4%-13%)
This attack’s actual effect depends on whether the special attack button is tapped or held down. If it’s tapped, Rundas fires a small ball of frost out of the palm of his hand that has a small trail of frost behind it, giving it a somewhat larger appearance. The frost ball also has slight homing capabilities that are only slightly stronger than Samus’s Missile attack. It doesn’t do much damage or knockback, but it has a high chance of inflicting a freeze status on the enemy. Charged, the move becomes much different. Rundas will hold a ball of ice in front of him as it grows to its maximum size, which is about the size of Bowser. If shot, the ball doesn’t fly forward; rather, it flies in a sort of small arc. If released early, the ball will fly farther, but do much less damage. Low charge ice balls generally fly about the distance of the Battlefield stage. At maximum charge, the ball only goes about one and half Bowsers in distance! However, the fully charged ball’s knockback and damage is very high, and it usually freezes the opponent. If Rundas is under the effect of a Super Mushroom, the ice balls will fly slightly farther when shot.
Side Special: Frozen Ground
(2%-4%)
Rundas sends a quick-moving (about the same speed as Pikachu can achieve while running) wave of ice along the ground. It’s not too damaging, and there is no knockback whatsoever, but it makes up for this by always freezing an enemy struck with this attack. And to make matters worse for your foes, the ice wave is really low to the ground, making it hard to see on stages such as Melee’s Temple. It’s a relatively quick attack, but it has a small downside in that can only be used once every two seconds.
Up Special: Icy Wave
(3%-5%)
Rundas creates a disc of ice at his feet and flies upwards on it. This attack is sort of like a slower version of Marth’s Dolphin Slash with an icy twist. Also, the disc of ice trails ice behind it, which can cause a small amount of damage to opponents if they come into contact with it. Also, if the target is struck by any part of this attack, there is a slight chance that they may be frozen (seems to be a recurring theme, eh?). The attack is just a bit too slow and unwieldy to use as an actual attack, but if the opportunity strikes, go for it!
Down Special: Icicle Wall
(4%-7%)
Rundas swings his arm upwards as an icicle about twice the size of Ganondorf juts up from the ground directly in front of Rundas. Anyone struck by the icicle as it comes up is dealt a fairly average amount of damage. The icicle’s real function is to act as an obstacle. It can be smashed with repetitive attacks (it only has a measly 8% health) but it can’t be moved through, making it rather annoying for your foes if placed in right positions. The only real downside to the move is the fact that it has some nasty start-up lag and can leave Rundas vulnerable to attack if anyone happens to near him during the execution of this move. Furthermore, only a single icicle can placed upon the stage until the first is destroyed. Oh, the icicles tend to melt after 10 seconds, so don’t rely on them sticking around for too long.
Final Smash Flash Freeze
(15%-20%)
As Rundas activates his Final Smash, he begins charging a massive amount of icy energy. During the charging process, Rundas is invulnerable. After 4 seconds, he releases a large wave of energy, much like Tabuu’s Off Waves. While they can be dodged, it’s not too easy to dodge them. If struck, an enemy will instantly freeze. Rundas’s foes will stay frozen for exactly six seconds, allowing him to deal massive amounts of damage to his frozen adversaries. The Flash Freeze itself does a decent amount of damage, but it’s still rather weak for a Final Smash. One interesting thing to note; enemies caught in the air while the Final Smash is executed will fall to the ground and shatter their icy prison, but they’ll take double the damage the Final Smash would normally do, which is around 30-40% damage. No aspect of the Final Smash has any knockback whatsoever.
