Lemeza Kosugi, age 31, is a Japanese archeologist teaching at a university while using the skills his grandfather taught him to investigate ancient ruins. Lemeza is very proud of his grandfather and respects him a lot, but isn’t too fond of his father, Shorn. Shorn disappeared when Lemeza was very young, leaving Lemeza to feel much ill will towards Shorn. Lemeza became an archeologist so that he could best his father. Lemeza loves the MSX and carries and MSX laptop around with him, and is a skilled computer engineer. There’s nothing that Lemeza particularly dislikes, but he has quite the affinity for curry.

Taunt Up:
A spike shoots out of the ground in front of Lemeza causing him to hop backwards, alarmed. The spike then quickly retracts back into the ground. The spike can harm players, but it’s relatively weak like Luigi’s kick that uses for his taunt. |

Standard Special:
Pistol (5%-8%) |
Lemeza pulls out his pistol and readies it. You can keep it out and still move around by holding the button. Once released, Lemeza fires a bullet. The bullets are insanely fast and near invisible. They also do a lot of damage. The only real downsides are that the knockback is really pathetic and the bullets are extremely small and hard to be accurate with. It seems cheap, but the move has a hitch, and what a hitch. Ammo is limited, and Lemeza can only get ammo by attacking his opponents. Only problem is that ammo is extremely rare, and each box of ammo only gives Lemeza four bullets, which is what he starts with. Use this move sparingly to keep the element of surprise, as without that, this move is nowhere near as effective. |
Side Special:
Bomb (8%-10%) |
Lemeza pulls out a “potato masher” grenade and tosses it, much like how Solid Snake threw his grenades in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. These grenades are a bit bouncier and due to their odd shape, bounce strangely. They also take longer to explode, by a single second. But unlike Snake’s grenades, these create multiple explosions, although it’s not as impressive as it sounds due to the fact that the explosions overlap. The overall radius is still greater than that of most explosives in Smash Bros. Also, of note is the fact that these grenades tend to go farther when thrown. They also, like Snake’s, are damaging to the user as well as anything else. Lemeza cannot hold the potato masher grenade like Snake can hold his grenades, however. |
Up Special:
Makeshift Grappling Hook (4%-6%) |
Lemeza quickly attaches a spear to his whip and swings it upwards. If it hits ground, Lemeza will pull himself up with extreme speed. If not, the spear will simply go right back down and send Lemeza plummeting to his doom. The move is really just a simple Tether Recovery. It can be used on ground to smack high-flying aerial enemies, but that’s about all of its attack usefulness. Its ending lag is also extremely awful, so it’s not even worth using on land. |
Down Special:
Buckler (0%) |
Lemeza pulls out a small copper shield. The move acts a lot like Pit’s Mirror Shield move, but with a twist. This shield doesn’t reflect anything, it blocks absolutely anything instead. However, the shield is very, very small, and can be attacked around without too much difficulty. This doesn’t mean that it’s useless, hardly. It can guard against potentially fatal attacks if you’re lucky. There really isn’t too much else to this attack other than that. |
Final Smash
The Boss (30%-40%) |
Lemeza holds an Ankh Crystal high above his head, and it shatters as a loud roar is heard and the screen grows dark. It quickly lights up again to reveal that the source of the roar was a large cartoony blue blob with silly eyes and his tongue sticking out. He doesn’t do anything aside from hop around the stage, while Lemeza (who now is basically on auto-pilot) tries to defeat him. Lemeza will run around the stage shooting at its underside with his Flare Gun when it jumps. If you touch The Boss, you’ll suffer damage and will be sent flying. If you are squished by The Boss, you’ll be grounded, as if you were hit with a Pitfall. Lemeza and his Flare Gun can’t harm anyone. After about 5 jumps from The Boss, Lemeza finally defeats him and the battle resumes. |
