Party Members
Updated - February 08, 2008
Goombario is a citizen of Goomba Village, mostly comprised of a small Goomba family all related to each other, with the only one of a different species being the Toad who runs the single Toad House there. He likes to talk a lot, as commonly shown in his well known technique 'Tattle', and is often made fun of by his sister, Goombaria, for his literally hard head, which could be why he was imbued with the technique 'Head Bonk'. Goombario also wears a blue cap, possibly to mimic his idol, Mario, who wears a red one.

Kooper is a blue-shelled Koopa who lived with his many Koopa friends in the much larger Koopa Village. Kooper's most well known technique is 'Shell Toss' which achieved the task of obtaining treasures on far away platforms.

Bombette is a pink Bob-Omb who has a perky attitude. She was onced held captive in the Koopa Brother's Fortress but got out by blowing up a cracked wall in her cage.

What do these three characters have in common? Goombario, Kooper, and Bombette all joined Mario at some point in his quest to once again save Princess Peach from the evil clutches of Bowser and return her castle back to ground level. The three party members have also made an appearance in Super Paper Mario as 'catch cards'. Another interesting note is that the three party members have also made an appearance in the debug menu of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, netting the three of them appearances in every Paper Mario game.

Name of Attack
Attack Details
Standard Special: Bomb
(7%-16%)
Bombette takes the lead and uses her bomb technique, making her explode. Anyone hit by the explosion will gain 7-13% damage. If you charge the attack, anyone hit by the explosion will gain 10-16% damage but Bombette will also gain 2-4% herself.
Side Special: Shell Toss
(5%-11%)
Kooper takes the lead of the party and performs his shell toss technique. Anyone hit by his shell toss will gain 5-11% damage.
Up Special: Head Bonk
(4%-9%)
Goombario takes the lead and performs his head bonk technique. If anyone were to be hit by the head bonk, he, she, or it would gain 4-9% damage. After performing the head bonk, he and the other party members would go immediately back down, making the move similar to Ike's Aether and Kirby's Final Cutter.
Down Special: Fire Shell
(2%-5%)
Kooper takes the lead and enters his shell, which barely a half second after catches on fire. This is primarily a defensive special move, blocking any projectile except for explosives and Mario's F.L.U.D.D., though it can be used offensively if anyone accidently bumped into the fiery shell, dealing them a minor 2-5% damage.
Final Smash A Paper Catastrophe!
(4%-60%)
Goombario unleashes a flurry of five small head bonks onto the nearest opponent, dealing 4-7% damage per hit. After the head bonks, Kooper gets into his shell and jams past all opponents with amazing speed, putting them all in a dizzying effect, disallowing them to move. Bombette then takes lead of the party and unleashes a huge explosion, dealing 45-60% damage with a huge knockback.
