Mewtwo is a Pokémon cloned from Mew. It is primarily due to this characteristic that Mewtwo is featured in the various Pokémon media as tempestuous and remorseless. A sapient being, Mewtwo is among the few Pokémon species created by humankind. Mewtwo's ears resemble small horns and its body is less feline and more humanoid than that of Mew. Due to its genetic background, Mewtwo’s powers are superior to all other Pokémon, even many of legendary or god-like regard. Mewtwo can employ telekinesis to lift people and Pokémon off the ground, or to perform self-levitation, which allows it to achieve genuine flight. All this can be done with only a minor or nearly no strain on its mind. Mewtwo has the ability to project its thoughts telepathically to others, making it one of the very few Pokémon who can directly communicate with any sort of creature. When in battle with another Pokémon, Mewtwo can easily summon a barrier of telekinetic power to protect its body, as well as erase memories.

Attack Details
Standard Special:
Shadow Ball (8%-32%) |
Mewtwo begins to charge up a Shadow Ball between his hands. As it is charging, it can shock any opponents that get too close to it. At any point during charging the Shadow Ball up, the player can fire it by pressing the Special Moves button, or they can pressing Left or Right on the Control Stick or D-Pad to dodge and store the charged up Shadow Ball. The Shadow Ball's tradjectory is kind of random, it always moves forward, but it'll move in a spiral-esque mtion. |
Side Special:
Psycho Cut (10%-15%) |
Mewtwo darts forward with incredible speed as he slashes through his opponents using psychic energy. Afterwards, Mewtwo must momentarilly take a short breather to recover his energy, so a miss with this attack will leave Mewtwo's opponents with an opportunity for a counter attack. |
Up Special:
Calm Mind (2%-6%) |
Mewtwo calms his thoughts and begins to levitate into the air. He levitates quickly however, and protects himself with a thin shield of psychic energy. After the recovery technique has ended, Mewtwo's shield disappears, but he is briefly left with improved attack power. |
Down Special:
Barrier (?%) |
Mewtwo holds his hand out in front of him and casts a Barrier which will deflect thrown objects and reflect projectiles and also double the damage they would have inflicted on Mewtwo. Mewtwo is vulnerable only from behind, but while he's using the Barrier his defense is sharply raised. So while the attack will disrupt the Barrier, they won't cause much damage or knockback. |
Final Smash
Psychic (65%-75%) |
Mewtwo starts by floating above the stage and casting a fullscreen aura of psychic energy that heavily inflicts all opponents with damage and sends them flying. The actual point of impact is random, and the attack can be dodged, but it's almost based entirely on luck to guess when to dodge the attack. Shields have no effect in dodging Mewtwo's Final Smash. |
