Ganon, also known as Ganondorf in his human form, the King of Evil, is a fictional character and primary antagonist of several games in Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda series. He is by far the most commonly used villain in the series and frequently serves as the final boss, sometimes unexpectedly, thereby giving him the status of arch-enemy to the main protagonist, Link. Although he made numerous appearances in the series, he was first given a back-story in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. He was also given a separate back-story later in Four Swords Adventures. Ganon is depicted as the ultimate personification of evil.[2] In earlier games such as A Link to the Past, he was characterized simply as a power-crazed despot obsessed with conquering and enslaving Hyrule. Since then, he has been depicted with more complexity, in games such as The Wind Waker, which provide a more understandable reason for his villainy. His manifestation has drastically changed since his first appearance. Ganon's roles range from savage beast, Machiavellian tyrant, and god-like entity; sometimes, he is seen as a mixture of all three. He possesses a vicious, psychotic nature, though he usually maintains great composure, despite the furious rage that seethes within him, only occasionally losing his emotional restraint.
Works:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Nintendo GameCube)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo Wii / Nintendo GameCube)

Attack Details

Standard Special:
Energy Ball (8%-40%) |
Ganondorf begins to form an orb of magic energy in the palm of his left hand after sheathing his sword. The longer the Energy Ball is charged, the larger it gets in size and power. After a few seconds, the Energy Ball will be fully-charged and stored in Ganondorf's hand. He can then move freely until the attack is used again, at which point the Energy Ball will be released from his hand and travel across the screen, slightly homing in on close-by opponents but moving at a pace that it can be quite easily dodged. A fully-charged Energy Ball can cause a devastating 40% damage to a single opponent and cause a high amount of knockback. |
Side Special:
Raging Slash (10%-24%) |
Ganondorf powers up his sword with a dark spell as it leads him as it dashes forward a few feet. If the sword come into contact with an opponent, it'll perform an uppercut on them and blast them into the sky. If this attack is used in midair, Ganondorf's sword will have a diagonal tradjectory in a down and forward movement and will Meteor Smash opponents on contact. |
Up Special:
Teleport (1%-4%) |
Ganondorf will be surrounded in an orb of purple magic and suddenly disappear. By tilting the Control Stick or D-Pad at this point, Ganondorf can travel in the desired direction and reappear. This attack causes very little damage compared to Ganondorf's other attacks, so it's best used as a method of recovery or dodging. The distance Ganondorf travels is also not entirely that great either, so it'd obviously be best not to be thrown too far from the stage. |
Down Special:
Transform [Into Ganon] (0%) |
Ganondorf is overcome by the Triforce of Power as he takes on his beastial form, Ganon. In this form, he has an entirely different moveset, similar to Sheik in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Ganondorf can remain in this form for as long as desired. |
Final Smash
Triforce Power (40%-105%) |
Ganondorf utilizes the Triforce of Power on the back of his left hand as he levitates into the background of the stage and can fire large blasts of magic energy at his opponents. Ganondorf can freely float around in the background to aim at different portions of the stage and different opponents. He'll return to the battle after firing three shots or remaining in the background for six seconds. The first shot can cause up to 40% damage, the second shot can cause 35% damage, and the last shot can only cause 30% damage. All three shots can cause damage to multiple opponents opponents, but Ganondorf can only fire one shot per second. It would take skillful aiming to fire a blast at opponents in the air. |
