Fatty Whale

Fatty Whale is a giant whale who wears sailor clothing and likes to smoke a pipe. He is one of the big obstacles Kirby faces in Great Cave Offensive. Unlike other water bosses, Kirby remained on land to take him down. After many bad tactics, Kirby defeats the whale and continues on.

Fight Details
|
You fight Fatty Whale at a harbor in daytime. Like in Super Star, you are on the docks while Fatty Whale swims around near the wooden dock trying to kill you. As with Super Star after being defeated, he spirals to the background and falls into the water.

Attack #1:

Rolling Whale

Fatty Whale hops around the water while he rolls. If you are in the path of the jumping whale, you will be given 8% upon contact and knocked off balance. On harder battles with the giant whale, Fatty Whale jumps much faster and gives knockback to anyone who is an idiot.

Attack #2:

Geyser
(Easy-Intense) |
Fatty swims around the dock you are fighting the whale on and then shoots up a giant geyser of water from his blowhole. Unlike in Super Star, you will be given different kinds of enemies who will try to delay you in your fight against Fatty Whale. If you jump in the geyser's path, you will be knocked away with 12% of damage. After reaching the otherside, he submerges to get away.

Attack #3:

Tidal Wave
(Easy-Intense) |
Fatty Whale jumps the background to the front of the docks. When he has touched the water near you, you will be launched upwards in a giant wave of water with 17% of damage. This is like the Off Waves but with water and like that, you have to dodge with special teleporting attacks or using a normal dodge.

Attack #4:

Toxic Smoke
(Normal-Intense) |
Fatty Whale surfaces on one side of the screen and then begins to smoke his pipe. This gives brown clouds of smoke that float across the screen trying to get to you. If this smoke is touched, your character is forced to cough into his hands for 5 seconds with 3% of damage dealt. After blowing 4 clouds of smoke, Fatty Whale goes back underwater.
