Pak E. Derm is an elephant like enemy working under Baby Bowser. He holds up a red stop sign that prevents Yoshi from moving past him unless Yoshi ground pounds. Yoshi must then quickly run past the Pak E. Derm before he gets up again.According to it's trophy in Melee, Pak E. Derm trained for years to be able to hold up that sign without any arms.

Assistance Description
|
Pak E. Derm will hold up his sign and stand in place for a period of 15 seconds. During this time none of your enemies can pass the point where Pak E. Derm stands, and neither can any of their attacks. The only exception to this is Final Smashes. The character who summoned Pak E. Derm however can traverse past Pak E. Derm without any problems. After the 15 seconds are up, Pak E. Derm falls over and disappears.
