A once normal dog who you could sell your bones to for 2 rupees a piece, after terrorizing the cook's assistant at the Pirate's Hideout Barkle followed Tingle to his home where he stumbled upon the Rupee Tower and was transformed into a Tingleized version of himself.

Assistance Description
|
Barkle will run about the stage fetching items up off the ground at random. The item will appear to be floating over Barkle's head. Barkle will run to the person who opened his Assist Trophy and will drop the item in front of them. Barkle can not pick up any of the super-powered items like the Dark Cannon, any really heavy items such as Thwomp or the Iron Boots, items not found on the ground such as the Smash Ball or summoning-based items like the Pokeball and Assist Trophy.
