It's Winter 2009 and the App Store, released to the highly popular Apple iOS and iTunes stores just a little more than a year ago back in Spring of 2008, is just loading up its newest load of fun, flick'n-play games. This time, Angry Birds, developed by Finland-based Rovio, is included in the mix... Little does Apple know that this game would bring the App Store to newer, even better heights, with the Angry Birds app featuring, you guessed it, angered birds catapulting themselves off in the direction of evil pigs, selling like hotcakes... back about twenty years ago, when hotcakes sold like... hotcakes... Shoot forward to 2011. By now, Angry Birds has branched off into three other iterations of the now deemed "classic" formula, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, and Angry Birds Magic, each of which also selling copies upon copies. On top of this, the colorful cast of Angry Birds has made a stamp in the popular culture of the world today, resulting in several pieces of apparel, including full outfits, which were promoted even further by being placed in YouTube videos by popular users of the site, including TimothyDeLaGhetto, also known as Tim Chatarangsu.

Assistance Description
|
As soon as the Angry Birds are summoned from the Assist Trophy, all types of the birds... who are angry... found in the original iOS game, namely the round red bird, the white egg bird, the baby blue bird, the green boomerang bird, the speedy yellow bird, the black bomber bird, will begin to bombard the stage in groups of up to nine, depending on the type of bird, each bird dealing a different amount of damage and knockback, perhaps with a status effect thrown in for good measure.
Red birds pack a bit of a quick punch, slamming into opponents like a rock, though no status effects are included with this one. They dish out a good 15% damage upon contact, and carry a decent knockback effect, though are easily avoidable due to their slow movements.
White birds will fly a certain ways before coming across a fighter, or until the time limit for their participation in the event is up roughly about four seconds after their appearance, drop a singular egg to the floor below, and the flip on out of the place at a forty-five degree angle. The egg doesn't do much, aside from act as a simple healer for about 5% damage if it doesn't break upon contact. It doesn't become an item like this until it drops to the ground, however, and it's likely that it'll just splat on the floor or on an opponent's head, dealing a meager 5% damage, the insides of the egg staying on top of the fighter's head for a sort moment before disintegrating into the void. On the off chance one were to be hit by its forty-five degree spin in the opposite direction and off-stage, they'd obtain 10% damage.
The blue birds will only deal 5% damage, though typically come in sets of three, each bird flying into an opponent one after the other. They're particularly speedy compared to their red and white cousins, too, but don't serve much in terms of actually knocking the opposition off of the stage, though one might imagine they may serve some good if they were to make contact with someone already off stage, simply in need of needing a reason to stop in place, lose balance, and then completely K.O. themselves.
Green birds will fling themselves straightforward, usually lingering near the bottom of the stage, before booming right back, dealing anywhere between 4% and 28% damage depending on how long they're able to hold an opponent in the combo chain, which would be fairly tedious to maintain throughout the whole boomerang effect when the... boomerang effect.. is taken into consideration. Because of their ability to chain in an opponent for quite a few hits, however, boomerang birds are hardly the solution to an Assisted K.O.
The yellow birds will come speedily flying in from an upper diagonal corner of the stage, only to come flying right on down to the corner parallel to them, electrifying those stuck in its path and potentially chaining them in a way similar to their green brethren, dishing out up to 24% damage and as little as 2% damage depending on how long they carry their opponents in their chain, which is a bit easier to complete considering its travel path when compared to the green birds, also allowing for an easier potential knock-out.
Last but not least, there's the black bird, arguably the rarest of them all in terms of actual characters present within this assist, which will come in from any given side of the stage at pretty swift speeds, due to its weight, and then dropping to the ground quicker than you could say "Angry Birds!", exploding just as a Bob-Omb might, dishing out a whopping 25% damage in a single blow with amazing knockback distance that'll rumble the controller out of the opponent's hands, assuming they're human! While most birds are equally as likely to appear as the other, with some very slight number variations, the black bird will only appear every so many times the assist is summoned, usually, however, in groups of three or four, striking fear in many an opponent's heart.
