Hector
Updated - August 21, 2011

Hector is one of the three protagonists of Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken. In Fuin no Tsurugi, he only plays a minor role. Hector is very bold, blunt, and straight-forward, but he is very loyal to his friends and family. Hector is a lord, and unlike most lords in the Fire Emblem games, who wield a sword, Hector wields axes, and later on, when he promotes, he gains the usage of swords. Hector is a very powerful fighter, and is very skilled with battling offensively, and defensively. On the downside though, Hector is a little slow. Hector, and his fellow lords travel throughout the land, searching for his fellow lord's father, but later on, their goal changes to stopping the evil Nergal, who wants to bring to dragons back to the world of the living.

Assistance Description
When Hector appears out of the assist trophy, he simply pulls out his double-sided steel axe and prepares for battle. Hector can move around, and jump around freely, much like a the character you are controlling. Hector moves rather slow though, and he has a tendency to go for the person in first place, and if the person in first place is Hector's master, then he'd just mainly go for the person in second place, although he does attack everyone. Hector also has a health bar. He has 50 HP, and if his opponents reduce that to zero, Hector disappears in the classic Fire Emblem death, he disappears in a flash of light, and a *swish* sound. Hector's attacks are actually very simple. He uses his large, double-sided axe to attack his foes. Simple enough right? He can use his axe to attack in a variety of ways, just to add some spice to the pudding. He can simply swing his axe horizontally, which is one of his faster attacks, although alot weaker then his others. He can also slam his axe down to the ground, which deals heavy damage, but is alot slower. It also has a 5% chance to ground the enemy for up to 6 seconds. Hector can also perform a rising uppercut, which brings his opponent up into the air with him, and if he's in a pinch, he'd use it to get back up to the stage. It deals a medium amount of damage, and is rather fast to perform. Another one of Hector's attacks is a quick, horizontal slash forward, while in mid-air, which, like his ground slash, is quick to perform, but deals rather low damage compared to his other attacks. Another mid-air attack of his, is to slam his axe downwards, making a body slam of sorts, very similar to Yoshi's Body Slam, or Ike's Aether, but without the recovery part, of course. It deals very heavy damage, and is rather hard to dodge. One of his most useful attacks in his arsenal. His last attack, is the ability to throw his axe in any direction, and watch as it comes back like a boomerang. It deals weak damage, but is quick, and easy to perform, and that's not even mentioning the range it has.

Another thing to note, is that there is a 10% chance that everytime Hector appears, he will be able to promote. If Hector triggers a promotion, when he first appears, instead of randomly attacking people, he will hold a white seal in the air, and watch as it disappears in a flash of light. He will then be struck by lightning, then will fade away, then reappear as a Great Lord! Now, Hector's armor has increased alot, his attack power has increased, his HP has been shot up to 100, and he may now use a sword occasionally. His weapons have also increased in size as well, Unfortunately, his speed has gone down as well. Other than this, his attacks are pretty much the same, but sometimes, instead of using an axe, he will use a very large sword instead. There isn't much difference, but the sword gives the attacks more speed, but less power. Hector cannot use his axe throw while promoted, but he is so powerful it won't even matter.
