Eyegore creatures have appeared in many games in the Zelda series, taking on different properties each time. Their general appearance remains the same, however, as do the strategies required to defeat them. Arrows often play a huge part in bringing down these creatures. The Eyegore first appears in A Link to the Past, where they can be found within many dungeons. They can be defeated by using a sword, but an arrow straight in the eye results in a one-hit KO. The green Eyegores can also be defeated by throwing pots at their eyes, however the red Eyegores require three arrows to be defeated. The Eyegore was featured in Majora's Mask. These huge, hulking monsters lie dormant until someone approaches them. Once awake, they will creep forward on powerful legs and fire beams at the offender from their single yellow eye. They will also slam the ground with their fists to send rocks flying at the enemy. When the offender has been warded off, they will quickly retreat to the point of origin and become dormant again. Eyegores can be stunned using the Bow, thusly leaving them open to further attack. Coincidentally, the Bow and the Hookshot can only be used to damage the brute when his eye is yellow. It is one of the more popular enemies in Majora's Mask, owing mainly to its appearance.

Assistance Description
|
When Eyegore hatches from its Assist Trophy, it'll lie motionless on the ground until disturbed by any opponent approaching it. It'll then spring to life and chase after them at a walking pace and fire a laser beam from its single eye, dealing 2%-6% damage per strike, but striking repeatedly. If the opponent gets farther away from it, the Eyegore will then pound its fists into the ground and hurl rocks towards the player, each causing 5%-12% damage with moderate knockback. When the opponent is no longer a threat to it, it'll walk back to where it first appeared and become motionless again on the ground. The Eyegore will not jump off the edge of any platforms. After 20 seconds, the Eyegore will disappear.
